What Is Child and Adolescent Psychiatry?
Child and adolescent psychiatry focuses on addressing the unique challenges that arise during the formative years of a young person’s life. We have a dedicated team of psychiatrists and nurse practitioners who specialize in providing tailored care to children and adolescents, recognizing the need for age-appropriate treatment strategies and interventions.
What Makes Our Providers Different?
During the initial session, we offer parents the opportunity to have an individual meeting with their child’s provider to discuss their specific concerns and needs in a confidential setting. Following this, we meet with the child to involve them actively in their own care to the extent appropriate for their age and maturity level.
Our child and adolescent psychiatry services are available for children aged 3 to 17 years old, such as:
- ADHD
- Generalized anxiety disorder
- Social anxiety disorder
- Obsessive-compulsive disorder
- Depression
- Disruptive mood dysregulation disorder
- Bipolar I and II
- Substance use disorder
- Autism spectrum disorder
- Psychotic disorders like schizophrenia
